Principal's Folder

The Information for Primary Principals folder has been designed to support schools leaders as they implement the statutory assessment and reporting arrangements in their schools.

One folder has been provided for each primary/special school in Northern Ireland. They were distributed at the ‘Leading Learning – Managing Assessment Change’ Conferences which took place in February and March 2008. Principals who did not attend will receive their copies via CCEA monthly dispatch.

It provides information about:

InCAS computer-based assessments;
Parent meetings;
Annual Pupil Profile Reports;
Pupil Profile Summary Reports;
Profiles 7 - report writing software;
Comment banks;
Help and support available; and
Implementation timetable.

Laminated cards are included in this folder. They are practical resources to support classroom practice and are numbered and colour coded for easy reference.

The Additional Information section provides storage for future communication.The contents of this folder may be updated and added to over time.
