Information for Schools - August 2008
In August 2008 the following information was received by the principals of all primary, preparatory and special schools.
The Principal's Letter 08-09 containing:
- The school’s username and password which are needed to upload completed InCAS assessments and to download the results;
- Information about training for new Year 5 and 6 teachers in using InCAS;
- A fax back to arrange the above training; and
- Information about InCAS assessments available in Irish.
A Preparation Booklet 08-09 containing:
- Support available to schools in the use of InCAS assessments;
- Instructions for setting up InCAS Reading and General Maths assessments for all Year 5 and 6 pupils; and
- Useful reminder information for teachers.
An outline of Developments to InCAS for 08-09 listing changes which have been made to the InCAS software and website in response to principal, teacher and pupil evaluations.
