Learning Activities

Play extracts of:

  • Finale from Symphony no. 5 by Shostakovich;
  • Voodoo Chile by Jimi Hendrix;
  • Take Five by Dave Brubeck;
  • Movement 2 of the Double Violin Concerto by J. S. Bach; and
  • Ride of the Valkyries by Wagner.

Have the pupils match each extract to the musical recipe on the pupil worksheet provided.
