Using InCAS: Preparation
Key Points
- The date of birth determines School Level that the pupil assessment starts at.
- Each pupil will have a unique password for each assessment.
- Most pupils can log in for themselves.
- If any one in the school is logged into InCAS as 'ADMIN' then no-one else will be able to use the software.

Moving Data from SIMS into InCAS and Creating Statutory Assessments
This is the simplest way to enter all the school, class and pupil information needed to complete the InCAS assessments. This should be done by the person responsible for SIMS in your school. Once the data has been entered into the InCAS software this sets up Reading and General Maths assessments for all your Year 4, 5, 6 and 7 pupils.
