Personal Development and Mutual Understanding (PDMU) focuses on encouraging each child to become personally, emotionally and socially effective, to lead healthy, safe and fulfilled lives and to become confident, independent and responsible citizens, making informed and responsible choices and decisions throughout their lives.

PDMU Guidance Booklet

This booklet will explain what Personal Development & Mutual Understanding is, why it is important and describe its place within the Revised Curriculum. This document also explains how to implement PDMU, discusses suitable teaching, learning and assessment strategies and relates PDMU to broader aspects of school life.
