Annual Report

The Annual Report has been designed to promote consistency across Northern Ireland and includes Special Schools, Special Units attached to mainstream Primary Schools and Irish Medium Schools and Units.  Therefore, no matter what school their child attends, every parent will receive the same breadth of information on their report.  Annual Reports should be received by parents by 30th June.

The Education (Pupil Reporting) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2009

Foundation Stage

The only difference between the format of the report between the key stages, is that Foundation Stage reports on Physical Development and Movement and Key Stages 1 and 2 reports on Physical Education.  These reports will also be given to the parents of children with moderate learning difficulties (MLD) regardless of the nature of their provision.

Severe / Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties

An Annual Report has been designed by specialist teachers for reporting on pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). Pupils with severe learning difficulties (SLD) can be reported on using whichever of these three formats is most appropriate. This decision will be made by schools in discussion with parents.
