Training

The Partnership Management Board, (PMB), (a strategic planning group representing a range of educational partners), was formed to plan for the coherent and effective implementation of the revised curriculum. Assessment for Learning (AfL) was identified as one of the areas of curriculum change that is common to primary and post-primary implementation of the revised curriculum (hence the term cross-phase). This cross phase emphasis ensures that the same key messages and skills are promoted at both primary and post-primary level to enhance coherence, continuity and progression.

Working groups within PMB produced a programme of professional development to support trainers, senior management, and teachers with these areas of curriculum change.
